In the 1970's Aer Arann began flying from Galway to the Aran Islands, providing an island-hopping air service from the mainland to each of the three Islands.
In 1994 Padraig O'Ceidigh and a partner purchased Aer Arann and set about laying the groundwork for a feeder air service for Ireland and the UK.
