Air Scandic

Air Scandic is a privately owned company and although incorporated in Finland in 1997, its main flying base is Manchester.

Air Scandic operates modern, wide-bodied Airbus A300B4-200 aircraft which are on long-term lease from Finnair, the national airline of Finland.

The aircraft are registered in the United Kingdom under the control of the UK Civil Aviation Authority.

Aircraft registrations G-TTMC and G-SWJW are maintained very regularly by Finnair in Helsinki on a 5-6 week rotation basis and by Monarch Engineering on a regular daily basis. Both companies are most respected in their field and comply to the highest standards of UK and European maintenance control.

Both aircraft have been recently extensively refurbished by Finnair at a cost of in excess of £3.5 million and as you might expect with such money being spent on them are in excellent condition.

All Air Scandic Captains and First Officers are extremely well qualified and all hold valid UK Civil Aviation flying licences.

To give you some idea of the wealth of experience flying our aircraft, a Captain of a wide-bodied aircraft would expect to have a minimum of 5000-6000 flying hours experience and a First Officer a minimum of 1500 flying hours.....often Air Scandic's flying crew have in excess of double this experience!

Our cabin crew are recruited in the UK and are ready to offer you a friendly and welcome service on board Air Scandic.
